--- the wild
[ ]--- nocten bay
Here where the sea takes a big, greedy bite of the earth is where you'll find the only safe passage to the outside worlds. Beyond this inlet of water, is the ocean - blue as far as the eye can see. Only the bravest dare pass beyond the markers at the edge of the bay. Scattered over its massive shores, miles long, are small settlements for ships to come and go as trade is created with the rest of the world. By day, it is a peaceful, safe haven to species of all kinds, but by night, its open vulnerability attracts all sorts of mongrels from the dark. Whether it be who, or what.
00
[ ]--- plains of terseis
Beyond Nocten Bay, there are stretching plains of pale green grass, brown in someplaces. Quite often you'll find a band of wild horses, and if you're really lucky, a group of centaurs or even a lone pegasus. Arrayed through these plains are dirt rodes leading to and from various cities from Nocten Bay. Here, there are no outposts to rely on, and sparse vegetation. Once you set foot on the roads of Terseis, you are on your own. Occasionally, one may come across a creek to slake their thirst - but the water is bitter and tainted with the faint taste of blood - a reminder of the war that occured here long ago.
00
[ ]--- eldan marshes
Across from Nocten Bay, and merging into the Plains of Terseis is a very flat and low-lying land, where ribbons of creeks cut and slice through the earth like a hot knife through butter. Wetlands. Marshes. Water trees grow out of knee deep swamp water, black with muck in some places. A labyrinth of swamp, there are only few ways known to get around here, and there is little desire to anyway. It is a dank, and dark place, where evil spirits live. People say it remains cursed by the ghosts of the women and children who were drowned here thousands of years ago.
00
[ ]--- un-fau river
Towards the east, Elden Marshes merge together as one river, the Un-fau. It's a wide and strong river that floods easily, and winds through the lands with a strength beyond comprehension. It hosts a variety of fish, free for eating, along the rare inland-mermaid. They have been sighted here once or twice. Along the river banks, trees line like an audience to a passing parade, and occaisionally the sandy banks turn to little cliffs, and every few miles along the river there's little rock pools on its banks. There are also little break off streams of the river. As it gets closer to the mountains, it thins, until at last it is nothing more than a little stream that slips around the corner.
00
[ ]--- the great forest
Miles of trees, a sea of green, filled with all sorts of wildlife. Deer by the hundreds, rodents, wild pigs ... but not only that - unicorns have been sighted here in ancient times. It was here that the first unicorn was discovered, in fact. As you go deeper into the forest, the foliage grows thicker and darker, where the plants encroach on the thin trails like dark fingers. Oak, pine, and shrubs and undergrowth of a million different species. The shadows are plentiful, and contrary to belief, they hold nothing more than a few spiders. There are no demons here.
00
[ ]--- nokluka mountains
It is in these legendary mountains that the last great war began. At the foothills, at least. Here, the trees of the great forest gradually recede as the gentle slopes of the foothills turn into the sharp, angular granite slopes of the mountains. Snow capped, sheer drop offs that even the most knowing explorer could not comprehend. Amongst these mountains is the secret passage to the Badlands that Morohtar found, and now the entrance it is in plain sight. The tunnels, however, are still unknown - a maze, still. Enter at your own risk - for once you're inside, you may not get out ... and you may not want to.
00
[ ]--- the archipelago
On the southern most seas of Lortheria lie an array of islands, large and small, where significant amounts of trade is produced. The Archipelago can be reached by foot at low tide, as the channel is shallow and impossible to cross with large ships. When the tide is out, long strips of white sand can be seen linking the group of islands together. Swimming is not advisable, as the southern water is icy cold and ridden with sharks of all kind. The oyster shells, which are attached to the various rocks scattered of the sea floor, are razor sharp and can cut through even the thickest leather. Mind your step when crossing.

--- the kingdoms + strongholds
[ ]--- the mortals' land (4 sub-boards)
The Mortals, or humans, reside further North of the land, where they build their castles and fortresses obvious to the passing eye. Unlike the elves, they rely on their brute strength and stone walls to protect them. Over all, the humans have four strongholds, main fortress, Burgensia included. Each of these have their scars of the ever so recent battles, whether it be gaping in the walls, or cracks in the plaster, or charred remains of cottages. You’ll find new things too. Like newly crafted fences, farmlands, like shoots of pale green grass poking up from beneath the soot and ash. Strangers are welcomed here, for the hardships have strengthened friendships, and judgement. As long as you don’t bring ill-tidings…
00
[ ]--- the elves' land (4 sub-boards)
Almost completely opposite to the mortal's style of strongholds and fortresses, the Elves choose to take a more discreet approach to protecting their citizens. Their fortresses cannot be seen unless you know exactly where and how to look, for they are hidden behind the trees. The main city of the elves is called Paisdhel, and is the closest civilization point to the mortals. It too has wounds and evidence of a recent strain, as many trees of the forests that surround it have been cut away, leaving the Elvish civilization a little less invisible as they once were. Still, the trees are growing back, and soon will return to their former height and beauty.

--- the badlands
[ ]--- narag-zâram
Narag-zâram is the official name of the fortress used by Morohtar in his vengeance on Lortheria, but is used for the landscape surrounding it. It is an endless, stretching land of lifeless rocks and hell. Nothing more. Gaping cracks in the ground, steaming geisers shoot out hot air that would scald any who passed too close. Bones and skulls are old remnants, while crude cliffs rise out, the only offering of shade on this giant cooking plate. In Naragzam itself, there are still evil, dark beings dwelling within. Demons, heartless beasts. Shadow. Crude torture machines, idle for some time, stand in empty, black rooms. Old cells still hold the ghosts of innocent prisioners, while in the tallest room of the tower, the ghost of the darkest man on earth still walks... or so they say.
